Here they are again, older but closer to the current style — thick lines, round heads, less detail. This might be it!

I’m experimenting with how the characters would look if they were older (and no longer pastel easter-egg colors). When I designed them initially, I was heavily influenced by Hello Kitty/superflat, ultra-cute style. Now I’d like to explore a change.
What do you think?

My friend went to Haiti after the quake and is writing a series of reports that’s being run in Revolution newspaper. They’re compelling and immediate, connecting us with some of those who have been through this horrific experience. This paper, which is one in my regular reading list, in general offers great exposure of the crimes of imperialism, plus a lot of ideas and assertions that are important to wrestle with. Please consider supporting the paper and/or its travel fund that facilitates reporting like the series written by my friend. Thank you!

I didn’t even notice that stupid ping.fm hasn’t been automatically posting here for ages, as it did for a while and is still supposed to. Arrgh.
For those who missed these points of news, here they are:
1) Seven Stories Press has begun running a webcomic version of my graphic novel co-created with Derrick Jensen, updated Tuesdays and Thursdays, in full color. You can follow it here:
http://home.sevenstories.com/index.php/tag/atwb-serial/
I added the color for the French version of the printed book, which will be published in March by La Boite à Bulles
(http://la-boite-a-bulles.com/”>la-boite-a-bulles.com/).
“A great read, a groundbreaking volume of graphic literature and a political polemic of the first order.” — Ted Rall
2) I was interviewed for the premier show of “Radio Against Global Ecocide,” here:
http://www.rageedm.com/wordpress/?p=19
There are several other inspiring and informative podcasts there that I highly recommend.
3) “Mischief in the Forest” (the children’s book by Derrick Jensen, illustrated by me) achieved its Kickstarter goal and is fully funded! Thank you to all for your support. The book will be published in May through PM Press.
